HPJ uses the 'Inverness 2000 Cartridge System' this technique ensures that the instrument never touches the ear, meaning that you get a totally sterile piercing every time.

Our staff are fully trained in ear piercing and have been licensed to perform the procedure by their respective local council.

On completion of your piercing you will receive an 'Aftercare Guide', detailing how long to leave in your new earrings (with a 'mark off' calendar) and a guide to cleansing your piercing.
After the six week healing period our staff will be happy to help and advice you on choosing your next pair of earrings from our extensive range.

Absolutely. Inverness earrings and backs are sterile, encapsulated and packaged in individual cassettes. Each piercing earring is used only once. Only the disposable cartridge, never the piercing instrument touches the ear.

Some customers may feel a pinch and ears may sting or feel warm afterwards. Most customers report that ear piercing is almost painless.

The entire process, including earring selection takes about 5 minutes. The piercing itself takes less than a second.

Cartilage piercing refers to the area around the top of the ear. HPJ staff will carry out this procedure, the only difference is the healing period which is 12 weeks. As with lobe piercing Aftercare and the use of Ear Care Antiseptic are especially important for cartilage piercing.

Yes, as long as no 'keloids' are present. Keloids are lumps of scar tissue that can be felt when pressing the ear. HPJ will not pierce through or around a 'keloid'.

HPJ will only pierce children who are 5 years and older. A consenting parent or guardian must accompany children to a piercing.

To Pierce your ears at home you will need to buy a 'Take Home Kit' and a pair of Sterile Earrings from our in-store range. The earrings are sold separately and include Ear Care Solution and an Aftercare Guide. Nose Piercing kits include a stud (pictured on the box). All kits include instructions. Aftercare is still essential with a Home Kit.
